Client: Multinational company, leading distributor of B2B electronics products

Job Purpose:

  • directly to the CFO – EMEA (UK)the role holder will be a member of the Italian Leadership Team and be the voice of finance for the market.
  • job holder plays a fundamental role as the finance leader of the market in supporting the strategic direction of the market and providing clear insight into performance and execution.

As individual contributor, he has the task of interpreting the numbers relating to the market drivers in close collaboration with the Italian Sales and Management Team.

Duties:

  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with relevant Italian Leadership Team colleagues, HQ Finance leadership team members and other business management teams.
  • Initiates and contributes to strategic and operational decision making and influences relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of the strategy and financial targets.
  • Provide senior level financial decision support within the functions and commercial insight to the Leadership Team.
  • A key communicator and collaborator between the market, finance and commercial teams.
  • Focal point for cost and revenue optimisation within the market and functions.
  • Vigilant to business opportunities and risks
  • Single point of resolution of finance issues for the market and regional teams; interacts actively with Centre of Expertise managing the transaction activities in the market and other group finance teams as required to resolve issues.
  • Strong understanding of the business and market to enable effective investment decision support and investment prioritisation in a multi-channel environment.
  • Provides the commercial conscience across functional teams and the digital conscience across the finance teams.
  • Develop and provide a consistent suite of management accounts, incorporating segmentation of the sales channels and the linkages (such as gross margin, customer numbers, etc) and other group functions
  • Challenges constructively and respectfully wherever required against market and functional plans and proposals, has a point of view.
  • Responsible for market planning, budgeting and re-forecasting from both a direct cost and revenue perspective.
  • Proactive in proposing action to ensure that performance targets are not only met but exceeded.
  • Responsibility for the Income Statement and Market Profitability

The position will have a contractual framework as a Quadro

Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics or similar
  • Worked in an International organisation, able to demonstrate good cultural awareness and appreciation
  • Coming from companies within a matrix based international structure and with a large variety of products and a strong product / channel complexity
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent)
  • Able to forge effective working relationships around the leadership team in a constructive and supportive manner
  • Demonstrates commercial expertise and knowledge of finance gained within a digitally enabled company
  • SAP knowledge and excellent IT for Finance skills
  • Very good English language skills both spoken and written
